WHO WE ARE

Inn Town Homes and Apartments has been providing OSU students with off-campus housing since 1969. We have a small full-time staff that works directly with our part-time student Marketing Assistants to complete our tasks as a team.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Part-time Marketing Assistants are a vital part of Inn Town Homes, and we love working with new students each year. As a Marketing Assistant you assist us in renting our apartments, matching students with the perfect home for the next school year. As a Marketing Assistant, you are the face of Inn Town Homes, showing prospective residents the properties. You will also work with our team to bring our marketing plan into fruition, which includes but is not limited to: resident retention, social media, promotions, and advertising. We place a large focus on camaraderie and teamwork, but the Marketing Assistant will also enjoy a great amount of independence.

Fully paid training for the position begins in September where you’ll have the option of working 10-20 hours per week. During our rental season, which begins in October, Marketing Assistant hours will be scheduled between the hours of 11 am – 8 pm Monday through Friday, and Saturdays and Sundays between 12 pm – 5pm. We are looking for students who are available to work at least 15-20 hours per week during these time blocks, including Saturdays and/or Sundays.

We offer a flexible work schedule around your classes. We are not open on home football game days, and we do not require you to work over Thanksgiving weekend or Christmas break.

The Marketing Assistant position is seasonal, corresponding to our busy times (September through January and July/August.) However, based on performance, part-time Marketing Assistants may be asked to work year-round or return for multiple seasons. We’ll discuss performance after winter break and extend offers accordingly.

Inn Town offers students a highly competitive salary. In addition, Marketing Assistants have the opportunity to make commissions during the Fall Semester for Rental Season.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Students interested in the position must be friendly, outgoing, possess excellent customer service skills, be able to multi-task (including answering a multi-line phone system) and be comfortable taking a consultative role with your peers. A clean driving record is a must.

Experience with, or a basic knowledge of, email marketing, graphic design, social media, and promotions are not required, but are a big plus!

We’ve had a long tenure working with student employees, and from the dozens we’ve gotten to know over the years we’ve learned that success in this position can come from many diverse places, majors, and fields of interest.  We’ve had accomplished Marketing Assistants come to us as Business, Economics, Communications, English, and Science majors, but anyone interested in marketing, real estate, or community building should apply!
